The mechanical lane change sections have two levers in their slots. When the car passes the lane change, the car’s guide touches the lever at the straight and switches to change lanes. When the car passes the lane change for a second time, it passes the lever at the turn lane and switches back the lever to the straight. The car alternates lanes with every transition.
